Crawl out of bed near two
eyes sticky, yellow goo
mouth clogged,
ashy taste of Marlboro cigs,
spongy texture, too many drinks
Into the bathroom, shiver
cold tile, toes wither
water poured,
a cool vitalising splash
sigh of relief, and I laugh
