State of the Union
Is it possible,
That the world has gone quite mad?
I ask you this for there is no news of
The Credit Crunch,
Of Natural Disasters,
Or Fat Cats getting large
On a free lunch.
But it is of Multi-Millionaires,
Making phone calls,
And causing distress to thousands,
Who never heard it,
But feel they have the right to
Feel affronted.
They waste money they don’t have,
Jumping on a band-wagon.
Does no-one see the truth,
Under the Emporer’s new clothes?
It is quite a common topic
On Prime Minister’s Question time,
Where rich men with more hot air than sense
Debate and argue about
A newsreader who dances
Like a Wardrobe,
And then abdicates his throne.
Where no yes-men would argue,
Or trade in the world of lies that they sell.
But do not believe the fool who speaks up for silence
For I am the word that speaks the man.
Is it possible,
That the world has gone quite mad?
I ask you this for there is no news of

Of Natural Disasters,
