My Love’s Love will not die



The Girl I love, is in love with someone else.
I know you are thinking, how can a Fifteen year old
know what Love is?
I know, I just do, but my Love’s Love will not die.

I do not have much to offer her, I know,
but he can offer her eternal life,
and some new teeth.
He is all gloss, there is nothing underneath.
My Love’s love is a Vampire,
and the other heart throb in School is a Werewolf.

He is fun, apparently,
but we have had three Sixth formers in Hospital this month,
and the PTA are asking what is happening.

They meet after dark, and eye up passers-by
for the quality of their blood,
and who might give the biggest yield,
Using their charm and good looks as their shield.
Crosses have no effect, he eats Garlic,
which should have put her off by now,
but it just seems to have the opposite effect.
and just the other day, I noticed some teeth marks on the base of her neck.

Maybe I should move on,
there are plenty of other fish in the sea,
find a nice girl who is not really interested
in good looks and empty offers of immortality.

it was bad enough when there were only other
boys as competition, but now we have
agents of the Supernatural, impressing the Mum’s
with their looks and easy charm, not eating so much,
but still leaving enough room to have a
quick nibble on their Daughter’s arm.
