It was a season for time
to slip away
while the talent of men
saw the open dell and dawn
slide under the sun as it awakened
the growling of the moon
like a cur kicked dog
when whelping wrong
as in the distance numbers
are sought to infinity
I see blue yonder as
bleeding fills the savaged sun
and the world does die
for there is no tomorrow
gone with today
to slip away
while the talent of men
saw the open dell and dawn
slide under the sun as it awakened
the growling of the moon
like a cur kicked dog
when whelping wrong
as in the distance numbers
are sought to infinity
I see blue yonder as
bleeding fills the savaged sun
and the world does die
for there is no tomorrow
gone with today
