Bread, potatoes, two slices of ham.
A tin of beans and Strawberry jam.
A pint of milk, a pound of cheese
oh! I'd also like some Cornflakes please
and don't forget the paper too
and some soft tissue for the loo.
A packet of Bold, a bottle of bleach.
Can you manage all that?
You are a peach.

I was drawn by the title of this peom (how sad is that!!) Great fun. I never write lists and my husband needs one for more than 3 items.
Loved the last line, so patronising!

An apt and amusing commentary on being alive!

I'd axe the 'also' from line four because it messes with the scansion.

It was fun to write this one, like the 'crumbs' one, for that I was simply looking at some packets of biscuits and trying to choose - and the poem just came out all by itself. I love it when that happens, don't you?
