Summary: This is just something quick, basic and rough round the edges but fitting for my choice of subject which I wrote one boring afternoon about 3 months ago. I intend to write a more accomplished and thought out poem about the good things I consider about England.

England, a nation confused
Cultures transfused
Sports heroes that lose

An identity crisis
Capricorn meets Pisces
Absent church diocese

Economy boom n’ bust
Ugly ladies that we lust
Neighbour you can’t trust

A thousand apologies
Migration overseas
Hospitals rot with disease

Schoolchildren truant
Mi English ain’t fluent
Criminals ever pursuant

Our morals are panicking
Industry is vanishing
Civil apathy flourishing

Suffering alienation
A media sensation
From a pirate radio station

Celebrity overload
GM seeds to be sowed
A frog mates a toad makes a froad

Political correction
A suffering erection
Emotional vacation

Living in fear
A sentimental tear
Love on a pint of beer

Half-price sale
Conversation pale
Righteousness will prevail

Gorge on fast food
Our language is crude
Fuck is no longer hued

Sexual repression
Conservative progression
A smack and crack session

Liberties held secure
A threat at every door
Escape provides allure

From the grey and cold
Of this place so old
And greatness once and forever told

Of Old England
