Unsaid

Word Count: 73
Summary: Recently lost my voice through stress and penned this as a reaction

This silent open mouth
yawns with impotence,
a pauper's voice amongst
the affluence of those who
can talk and walk from this place.
Words once trivial
or casually thrown aside
I now mine like coal.
A simple yes or no would be
a symphony to this soul.
The silence traps me
behind its dreadful wall
as this sentence, unlooked for
pricks at my eyes and love,
love can only hang between us
unsaid.
