Summary: This poet is no longer alive - much of her work is about disappointment and the loss of romantic love

If I should even come to find
A reason for forgetting you
Leave me, so very far behind
I’ll find myself regretting you
And weeding time to think alone
I’d wonder, through the cone of unfilled sorrows,
Calls of birds, the early pleasures
Once dismissed as pointless nothingness
I’ve felt the need for one I know
To understand and help me grow
Deep roots, not earthly
But in air
To tangle with other roots when there,
It’s people, always, feed the soul
And feeding needs a weighty goal
Of needs and musts
Needs and trusts
The wad I spoke in jest
The quest I needed, now I have,
It fits me like a glove
But still there ‘s something
That I want, but that I cannot have
You want to last for here and now.
Tomorrow and forever
But it is time you needed
You were so very clever
At needing nothing for so long
