Fallen Angel

I kissed a fallen angel today,
and then turned her round
to rip those wings
right off her back.

I caught a falling leaf today,
turned it over
and then stuck it
to my book.

Today was also the day I kissed God.
After kissing, he turned
me over and whispered into my ear
and then sent me on my way.

(He turned me over
whispered into my ear
and then sent me on my way).

Falling and turning and kissing
Turning and kissing and turning again

Heavens have opened and I’m soaring to them now
Whilst autumn flirts with the trees.

Kissing and falling and twirling and kissing
Would almost complete a fallen angel if she had her wings
Because kissing and falling and twirling some more
Is what we’re all made for, (though I doubt you’ll think that true).
