Monday 30th October On Monday 30th October at 1pm we will be welcoming Patience Agbabi to York Library.
Patience's poetry is hard-hitting and addresses contemporary themes. Having
described herself as 'bi-cultural', Patience, explores issues of racial, sexual and gender identity in her work. Her other influences include Janis Joplin, Carol Ann Duffy and Chaucer.
The event will enable people to hear how these influences contrast and complement each other as well as shaking off those Monday afternoon blues!
Admission to this event will cost £3 or £2 for concessions. For tickets, contact York Library on 01904 552815.
