About the course
Develop the skills you need to write poems that are exciting, moving and thought-provoking - poems that really come to life. James will provide you with detailed analysis of your work, and offer suggestions for revision. You will build up a theoretical and practical knowledge of techniques such as imagery, musicality, rhythm and form. By the end of the course you should more aware of your own strengths as a poet, and able to identify any weaknesses and remedy them.
If you feel that you would benefit from set verse-writing exercises, a wide range of these can be supplied.
If you decide that you would like to submit one or more of your poems for publication, James will help you with your submission and assist you in finding the publisher(s) - either print or online - most likely to accept your work.
