New imprint from Random House; Preface 'publishing for ourselves'

  Posted on 12/03/2008

Preface is a new publishing venture from Random House; it will have its own office and abalance sheet, and publish a mix of non-fiction, humour, memoir and 'elegant but commercial' fiction. Rosie de Courcy, ex-Futura/Century/Orion- says; 'We're not going to publish for Richard and Judy. We're going to publish for ourselves. If we like something, there's a sporting chance that others will, too.'
