Comma Press author up for Edge Hill Short Story Prize

  Posted on 13/05/2008

Comma Press author Robert Shearman's debut collection, Tiny Deaths, has been named on the five-strong short-list for the 2008 Edge Hill Short Story Prize

The debut collection by a writer previously known only for his dramatic work has just been shortlisted for a prestigious new prize celebrating the best new short story collections to hail from the UK and Ireland.

The Edge Hill Prize shortlist was announced on Saturday 10 May at the climax of the Oceans of Stories Conference, hosted by Liverpool John Moores University and Edge Hill University. Author Helen Simpson presented the shortlist, which was selected by three judges: author Hilary Mantel, BBC Producer Duncan Minshull, and Prof. Rhiannon Evans.
