Pete Doherty to read his own poetry at Burns festival

Pete Doherty, Babyshambles' front man, controversial singer and sometime partner of superwaif Kate Moss is to appear tonight (May 28) at the Burns an' a' That festival at Ayr's Gaiety theatre.

He will head the bill at a poetry reading in the Ayrshire theatre. Before he found fame and notoriety as a drug-addled singer-songwriter and guitarist with the Libertines, Doherty was a published poet, in the anthologies Rising Poets and Full Moon Empty Sports Bag.
