Not just a(nother) biography of the almost obscenely talented man-child, but a brilliant analysis of his work from the perspective of the various facets/facades/personae displayed in his life and through the stories he chose to tell. A very convincing journey from youthful Faust to aged Falstaff is charted, and there is some superb discussion of Welles's various uses and abuses of narrative. Hugely inspiring for any one working in Theatre, Radio, Film or Television.
