A bizarre interweaving of shorts which challenges the reader to enter into others' psyches, explore the darkness, and ultimately make up their own mind as to whether what they have observed is somehow perverse or simply part of the human conditon. Wallace often throws the ball so far out of court that one is left gaping in shock, but this is just part of his tactics for making you think. Irreverent approach, breaking-down boundaries in terms of both content and format - a must-read for anyone who enjoys contemplating grey areas.
