| WW interviewee, who aims to break the 'poetry cartel', this is a poet who does things all his own way. Some astonishing writing in this collection- have a look, at www.erotic-cafe.net, including Nike Trainers: 'mother, I've joined the latvian army/ we're invading tunisia at dawn/i'm taking a packed lunch/don't wait up.' Sharp, cutting, witty, tough and unusual. He says 'The most interesting work I've seen has been scrawled on the walls of underpasses in our inner cities or on cigarette packets.- and I'd add, in this slim, beautifully presented volume. Pics too. I loved it. |
