Sarah is an award-winning writer, winner of the Sense Creative Award 2010 and the Fish Criminally Short Histories Prize 2008. Her fiction appears in Smokelong Quarterly, The Fish Anthology, Wigleaf, LITnIMAGE, Prick of the Spindle, The Best of Every Day Fiction I and II, and in the Crime Writers’ Association anthology, MO: Crimes of Practice. A column about the wartime experiences of her mother, who was a child internee of the Japanese, was published in the Spring 09 edition of Foto8 Magazine and in Bristol Review of Books Autumn 09.

Sarah was the Most Read Author at Every Day Fiction during their inaugrual year, and has four stories in each of their two Best of anthologies. She was awarded the title of Litopian Laureate in 2007 for The Chaperon.

Sarah was a highly commended runner-up in the Biscuit Short Story Contest 2008, received an Honourable Mention in Prick of the Spindle's Fiction Open Contest 2009 and will be published in the Leaf Nano Fiction Contest Anthology 2009.

Most recently Sarah's work was Highly Commended in the Aesthetica Creative Works Contest, shortlisted for the Cheshire Prize and nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
