Steve’s first performed play was ‘Last Train’ (Southwest Scriptwriters, Tobacco Factory, Bristol) in 2005.

Since then, his plays have been produced by Max Theatre Company, Theatre West and Page 2 Stage in Bristol, Bike Shed Theatre Company in Exeter, ScenePool and Spilt Milk in London, and Cloud Nine in the North East.

Several of his short plays have been performed at the Rondo, Bath. Work since 2009 includes ‘Happy Happy Happy’ (Trinity Centre, Bristol), ‘Showing the Monster’ (Alma Tavern, Bristol), ‘Aftercare’ (Camden People’s Theatre), ‘Peter and Andy’ (Rapid Write Response Night, Theatre503, Battersea), ‘Still’ (Bike Shed, Exeter), 'Girl Friend' (Bristol Folk House), 'Creation' (Ustinov Studio, Bath), 'Tea & Filth' (Hen and Chickens, Islington), and 'Little Deaths' (Alma Tavern, Bristol).

‘A Good Send-Off’ was among the 10 winners in 2009’s Pint-sized Plays competition in Wales.

ScenePool's production of ‘Little Deaths’ is due to move on the Etcetera, Camden, later in 2010.
