Grey cloud filling my heart,
a technophobe sulking in a chair,
a heavy sigh trying to escape,
means one thing
and one thing only -
there's a computer in the house!

A screen gone blank for no reason,
a chair metaphorically
hurled across the room,
an email written then lost forever
means one thing
and one thing only -
there's a computer in the house.

A button pressed in torrents of anger,
a plug yanked from the wall in fury,
a Sunday afternoon in tatters,
silent strangers on separate floors,
means one thing
and one thing only -
There's a *@!^$*"!@@** computer in the house!

O typewriter, typewriter -
wherefore art thou?

Yes, you are right - it's easy to empathise, and this does indeed make me smie. Don't know about wanting those pesky typewiters back, though - my typing skills are so poor that the correction ribbon was always running out. A pencil now - yes, you can't beat it for sheer user-friendliness.
