After The Prelude (parts 1 & 2)
After The Prelude (parts 1 & 2)

(Part 1.)

Did last night happen
and was I really there?

It's soundtrack plays
unrecognised solo's,

my feet still raw meat
on a last dance hook,

yet there you are made
real as me in the mirror,

yesterdays reflex action
living held by quicksilver.

(Part 2.)

My hand makes a light brush
as you stretch out your canvas,

the stillness of life moving us nearer
four blue narcissistic galaxies looking

back into each others sky stained eyes
until we blushed, blinked & disappeared

back into a lone gun man come sniping out
& a moving target sliding through her sights.

Wonderful imagistic feel to these, but I wasn't quite sure why they're not 2 separate poems. I think they should stand alone.

And also some of the apostrophes might need sorting out - either removing from where they are or adding to where they should be?

Very thought-provoking though.
