Lucifer, Devils,
Reality revels
in dreams of the deep
that put you to sleep,
That wake you in turn
while matter makes minds churn
in church
you lurch and letch and
church makes me wretch,
‘cause they tell you to fetch
the cross and doss when you feel loss.
They tell you ‘don’t worry
‘cause you are in favour
with Lord God on High,
and Jesus, our saviour.’
They’ll tell you to: ‘Go! Kill the sinners!
Make dinners of souls that live Lucifer’s lives,’
‘cause they never have, they haven’t the drive
to live their lives to Lucifer’s call,
they haven’t the guts to free fall
from eternity.
They make the new maternally,
they live their lives paternally to one who’s never seen;
then think we‘re green and jealous of their lives!
What Jokers!
What Tokers!
They wanna come and smoke with us;
Then when they’re stoned and paranoid,
we’ll talk to them of Sigmund Freud,
and ways religion has destroyed;
We’ll nail their Lord to mighty bill-board
hoarding’s across the night sky,
then ask them why?
Why?
WHY?!?
Why reach for your dreams just to find they are sin
when Jesus is Yang, and the Devil is Yin?
God’s not in a book or the sky up above
God lives in a heart that feels love.
Religion was the death of God
but these words come from the breath of God,
bring paedophile priests the wrath of God.
Yes, when they're stoned and paranoid
we'll show them what they're God's destroyed.
When they are not so sure,
we’ll march to the Heavens, smash open its doors
and say, ‘Belief? Belief?
The relief from belief in a God far away
Is the freedom from grief at the end the day
say, who was the chief that made the world say:
“HOLY! HOLY! HOLY! Is the Lord God almighty,
who was,
who is,
and shall always be!”
Not me
nor none we can ever see.
Myth and Legend,
pithy pretend
that the end of the world
comes from his hand,
when the end of the world comes from our stand
offs between extremes;
and perfection lives within our dreams,
and reality is never
all it seems.
