Words ripple the waters
Of my consciousness
They jettison me
To slumber’s surface
They coerce me
They tantalise me
Into urgent activity
Not resting until
They are skidding
Merrily across the page
Halting finally
In fanciful formation.

I could see the words flooding out onto the page as I read your lyric. Lovely.
