Summary: It's quite pleasant at the moment, doing what has to be done, enjoying a lunch break - a 'Training Day'! All Hell will break loose tomorrow.

This really made me smile. My youngest daughter is a primary school teacher and I am sure she would know exactly how you feel!

I remember these days...but I always found the empty corridors a bit spooky without the kids..

So true! (My mother and aunt were both teachers, so I've heard this feeling described many times!). And beautifully succinct.
