Strength is in the woman who is not afraid to cry,
Who is scared to love but still brave enough to try,
Strength is in the woman who is determined to achieve,
Who recognises reality but isn’t too afraid to believe.

Strength is in the woman who will sometimes feel weak,
Who understands the importance of thinking before she speaks,
Strength is in the woman with the courage to fight,
Who will admit to being wrong, but will aim to be right.

Strength is in the woman who can’t always be sure,
Who will learn from experience as a way to mature,
Strength is in the woman who knows her own mind,
Who will work for the future, leaving the past behind.

Hi there Michelle,

I like the sentiment behind this poem - there's a hopefulness about it which is reassuring and comforting.

As this is a very structured poem, there were two lines that jumped out at me as slight misfits in their rhythm. Maybe they have too many syllables? I can't quite put my finger on what it is. There's just something about them that feels awkward.

Who recognises reality but isn’t too afraid to believe.

Who will work for the future, leaving the past behind.

I reckon that if you could get these two lines sorted, this would be a strong poem.
