We look out over the moors,
see the storm a brewing.
The lightning strikes across the sky.
It's time we was a moving.

We trek across the fields to home.
Once inside will be aglow.
Lightning strikes.
Two seconds, thunder roared.
Two miles away.

We scurry nearer the cottage.
Molly growling at the storm.
Lighning strikes.
Four seconds, thunder roared.
Four miles away.

The storm is going away.
we run faster as the rain comes down.
Once inside, door closed and all is warm.
Here is safe and calm.

We lay down on the rug.
A roaring fire does rise above the storm.
Just me and my dog in the stillness.
Storm gone.
Just peace.

Peace and solitude is shelter, warm fire and a farting dog. Bliss!
