…Belief is the oasis that you search for
In deserts of deceit;
Deceit has wrapped you up in emptiness,
It sucks you dry, you thirst;
Thirst has burned you, scorched you,
Kept you seeking out the truth;
Truth becomes a vision ever clearer
Embossed upon belief…

I love the way this sounds like it belongs in the middle of a larger piece of work - almost like you've come in and overheard a section of a wider conversation. It makes me want to know where it's going, and what came before.

It's an effective circular poem, with each idea/premise leading into the next. It works on both a metaphorical level and when taken as a visual image.
