I originally wrote this in 2005 when I called it ‘Spencer Tracy’ (born 1900). I’ve just realised that I may have invented the world’s first recycle-able poem!!

Ogden Nash

(1902-1971)

If Ogden Nash
were still alive
He’d be dead
by now
(or 105)

So for next year's poem, who was born in 1903?

Or, how about:

Birthday poem

If xxx
hadn't gone to heaven
today he'd be
a hundred and seven.

James.
