Some wilful, some weak
Some good, some bad
Some sobre, some drunk
Like that useless twat me Dad

Some worked, some didn’t
Some embraced, some slapped
Some laughs, some tears
In the lives that they were wrapped

Some hopes, some fears
Some dreams, some doubts
Some honest, some liars
Well there or thereabouts

Some lived, some died
Some grew, some grown
Some left, some stayed
But I never felt alone

And the sum total now
Is that I kept you in my heart
In my mind we are together
Though I know we’re miles apart
