Summers Savior.

The blackbird
hangs to the world.
A scorched decoration
strung from Christmas tree.
Snow shuck from feathers,
a dark kings bright fleece.
Beneath the black horizon
of winter, touched white by earth,
he sings for summer.Crucified
beneath the stars of ice, he burns.

Hi John. Some gorgeous imagery in this. I like the sense of hanging, and the almost pheonix like rising of the bird.

I'm intrigued though, about the "king's fleece"... please tell me more about where that image connects. Is it a follow through of the Christmas theme? Also, why "fleece"? and perhaps not "ermine"?
