flavour profusion
tantalising my palate -
cut grass and raspberries

Swirling the deep redness in my glass, my thoughts turn to those early days of rough local wine, endless southern European sunshine, real friendships strengthened under canvas and starlit skies.

vin rouge et rosé
pastis avant le dîner -
digestif après

With advancing years comes a discernment and the assurance that the more one is able to pay, the better the wine. Aged in oak casks, with undertones of sweet vanilla and spice, this pleases my taste buds. I luxuriate in my superior knowledge and financial position.

vin supérieur
in cut glass splendour cries 'class'
while I weep for youth

Joanie - I am now officially hungry. Have you read 'The Food of Love' by Anthony Capella I think you'd like it if you haven't...

Thanks, Darren. I've just ordered it - my daughter-in-law will love it too. I'm sure! I'm getting two! The reviews on Amazon are excellent!

Excellent take on the challenge, Joanie.

I love this Joanie - the fact that it is a really unusual form, and yet content that appeals to us all. The combination of those shorter poetic lines and the luxuriously long ones - like the finish f the gorgoeus wine on the palette. A really inventive take on the theme!
