Falls mainly in opaque nights
When moggy kills mice

On cold winter days
When sky is icy sapphire
Sun’s a jaded eye

November still day
Peaceful chimney smoke shimmer
Fox spoors on new snow

My favourite is:

November still day
Peaceful chimney smoke shimmer
Fox spoors on new snow

That last line is utterly beautiful yet staying clear of 'non-haiku' poeticness. ;-)
