In need of re-filling

Full of promise,
rich with hope,
so many dreams to be played out.
Endless verve,
ceaseless vigour,
full of much to shout about.

But empty words
and empty pledges,
are deeper scratched upon my heart.
What went wrong?
Where did the dreams go?
Please, mercy, let me know -
I need to learn,
to change,
to grow.

To find my way back
to the start.

BoBo

Out of the darkness
And into the light
Tread carefully
Fair maiden
Blink awhile
Do not despair
Many are those who care

Fearless -

The darkness,
though its own misery,
is safer than outside;
the light of others,
overpowering,
blinds my weak eyes.

BoBo

The darkness
Is not always velvet
As for living there
Forget it

Better to be blinded
Dazzled
By colour and light
Surprised by texture
- An insight into life

Oh what it could be........

There is so much despair in the second part of this, but the first shows a chink of light shining through. Hang onto that and keep walking in that direction. Brilliant stuff Bobo.

Kathleen - thank you for your kind words. I'm pleased that both the hope and hopelessness shone through the words.
