In the hollow between the waves
I feel engulfed by endless swell

but I ride the crest to dip again
until I reach the sand

And as I grasp the solid shore
I wonder which I need

the turmoil of the restless surf
or safety of dry land

Both are necessary, but it's the not knowing for sure that makes life interesting.

I liked this; in life we need both, but somehow are conditioned to pick one over the other. Perhaps you can't fight it, maybe you'll never resolve it..........but as long as you have inner peace, sailing between the two is not so bad at all.
