It shields

While snobbery

All walk

That's a good description of the great divide, Jennifer!! Particularly liked:
where Dior mingles
with Charlie.

Thanks Oonah.

A memory from when the railway line seemed to split our town into the have's and have nots.

Hi Jennifer

Yes, you have captured something very recognisable to me here - and just a narrow footbridge between...isn't it often the way! Very evocative.

I especially liked:

elegant houses
that celebrate seascapes

Nicely done!

Thanks Kirsty.

That visual divide has gone but still remains and invisible divider.

Excellent, Jennifer!
Loved those lines Kirsty mentions, too.

Hi Jennifer

I liked that about the footbridge...couldn't really understand the first para though - got the gist of the poem, your comments helped.

Nice

Thanks Findy.

Glad you got to understand it.

Amazing how a small town can have an invisible barrier that divides people.

What hope for the rest of the world?

Jennifer
