Spectacles and earrings.
Bobbles, clips and curls.
Scarves and wraps,
chains and rings
and floaty things for girls.

Bells and books and candles.
Forests, trees and plants.
Sun and Moon
Earth and stars;
Energies and chants.

Mums and dads and children,
grandchildren and cats.
Washing blowing
in the breeze.
Telephones and chats.

Online friends and Facebook.
Wireless internet.
No way for grannies
to behave...
but it hasn't stopped me yet!

Very nice, kate, I like this! I do get a distinct impression of who/what you are, and I love the way it ends with the unstoppable granny.

I enjoyed this too, Kate - a great bouncy rhythm, some good full rhymes, and I really like the ending! It conjures up a clear picture.

Thank you all so much for your kind comments!! This was fun to do because we don't often try to sum up the things that make us what we are. Reading it back is like seeing a snapshot of yourself! Spooky!
