It is a fact,
that sometimes,
my language can be blue,
my utterances debase,
my expression, obscene
and I am often asked
'Is it so necessary
to blaspheme?'
Such obvious delight
in shocking
the mild folk,
the silent outrage
I invoke.

My response,
invariably is:
swearing,
is register,
like any other -
used effectively -
without abuse,
can convey spice, humour,
tint and texture.

So, while I listen
to your criticism -
your conceited reproach,
I wonder in all honesty,
why don’t you
just shut the fuck up?

Punchy. I like it. Do these 'mild folk' get shocked by the shape of fruit and veg at Waitrose?

While I was reading this I immediately thought of Eminem, it sounds very like his style and could easily become a song. Nice and edgy - the F-word is sometimes very necessary. Great stuff.

Thanks Poemsgalore. Might consider selling to said artist for, of course, a not insignificant fee!!!!!!!!
