WORDS
Don’t say the words, I know what they are.
Did you not think I knew from the start?
This love was doomed from the moment we met. It was dark and deceitful and full of regret.
Don’t say the words, I know what they mean.
You’ve been with another and now want to come clean.

They say time is a healer, it’s an old cliché
By saying the words, the pain won’t go away
You can move on with life, as if I never was here
Now that I’m saying the words it’s all become clear
