I sat in the wood

I sat in the wood
The trees were still

I sat in the wood
The trees were still
I was still

I sat in the wood
The trees were still
I was still
I understood

Yes, sometimes it takes a long time for the truth to resonate...I prefer being still too...A very woody sounding piece - very apt echo...sense of peace, stillness all around...nikki ;-)

Think nikki said it all about this - it resonates.
Absolutely lovely, reading it made me still, too.
Very skillfully done, Marcus

Marcus where i live i too look at the trees and i am still, hate to see the trees die and fungi strutting out from them.Woods are still when you're alone so peaceful but never alone.Trees talk to you when your alone only a whisper makes you feel good. They understand better than humans. at peace and alone, time to think.
Thats where i meditate among the growth, that God made. xx Alice

Thank you all for your comments,

I love peace and stillness nikki, don't think there is enough of it in our world.

Tc glad it resonates with you.

Alice I have never felt sad to see trees with fungus growing out of them as this comforts me in the thought that the wood is an old and established wood. Only a newly planted wood does not have dead trees, and a new wood has not yet developed depth and stillness.

I do however share your feelings for trees, for me there is something magical about them. I spent sometime camping in the Amazon jungle alone, and the nights with the moon and trees and noises were some of the most magical of my life. Nature for me is my life blood, earth runs through my viens.

See you all soon,

xxxx Marcus
