Her smile illuminates the scene
Joy or woe, no in between
Her zest for life is palpable
Laughter fills her heart

Lavender and cookie jars
Idolising telly stars
Lavender bags adourn her rooms
Laughter fills her heart

Approprating feline friends
Has patience? Well, it never ends!
Appropriating castaways
Laughter fills her heart

Auntie, an unhidden gem
She was my creme de la creme
Auntie endured silently
Memories fill my heart

A really nicely evocative piece, Helen. As Oonah says, you really create a picture for the reader. Great use of "heart" as a refrain, and meaningful as well :)
