Word Count: 94
Summary: A couple on the subject of 'taste' for Jennifer's prompt

Print Double spaced

Crisp Love

Discarded like a Walkers bag
carried on the turbulence of pain,
occasionally lifted
by the thermals of frustration and anger
but falling to the gutter of despair again.
The salt and vinegar of your words
make me wonder if I was ever your flavour?

XXXX

In Brisbane ‘burbs, the barbies burn,
and red rare ‘roo steaks sizzle.
At picnic treats, screech parakeets,
and Fosters whet yer whistle.
So, throw another ‘roo steak on
the barb, and take a sippa
the nectar amber, cold and strong –
the day has turned out ripper!

Hi Mickey,

Not made any comments on challenges this week as I prefer to read and absorb.
Despite being late, I've read them both. Really enjoyed the first one. Loved 'the salt and vinegar of your words.'

As always, Mike,  I loved them!  I have to visualise them being read aloud, though!  They need to be heard.
