Forecast for today;
we’ll be experiencing some

dizzy spells
which will be accompanied by
hot flashes
due to a sudden fluctuation
in climate.

periods of depression
may follow.
there is also the chance of

irrational behaviour
which would be the cause of
anger or other emotional anomalies.
In extreme conditions there
could be evidence of

disorientation
and possible temporary
dyslexia
caused by problematic
functioning in the speech centres.

However, our five-day forecast
shows that things will
brighten up with

excursions
and visits from
old friends.
Not forgetting, of course,
some good-hearted fun and

comedy.

Ooh, I know the feeling. I was going to suggest it was 'the change', then I saw your age! I reckon it's the change of seasons, everyone I know is having a tough time at the mo. The scariest is not finding the words, mine have all disappeared for the time being.
A little typo in: which would by the cause of.
Sorry I'm not more useful, (the functioning of the speech centres?) - but I liked it.

I too thought it was about the menopause, but maybe not. Extremely well written, pity the indents wouldn't work, it would look really good if it did.

Yes, I know the feeling too! Thank goodness for the five-day forecast. Yes, pity about the indents. I liked it.

<Added>

the talk of the menopause convinced me to post 'Women's things' - very different, I know.

Rai - a clever poem - enjoyed the structure... Especially like the phrase re. the 'speech centres'...'excursions/ and visits from/ old friends' wondered how something perhaps a bit more specific might work here ? Write on, Miffle ;-)

Thank you all for your comments, and miffle, I think that I will be adding some more detail to the second part at some stage, though I have yet to find the words.

Thanks again,
