Women`s things

Summary: I make no apology for this! It was just a silly idea when I actually heard myself saying the first line during the course of conversation.

I've never been troubled with hormones,
though I understand some women are.
It's the luck of the draw, I suppose, when you think of it,
not unlike driving a car -

My friend overdoses on chocolate -
Maltesers eight bags at a time.
She denies it of course and it's nothing like
Auntie, who perpetrates violent crime.

But I've never been troubled with hormones;
Pregnancy, menopause, fine.
No, I've never been troubled with hormones....
Well, I've never been troubled with MINE!

Joanie, brilliant! The last line says it all. Too much testosterone in the world perhaps!?

Nell.

Joanie,

This was great, never had a problem myself.

Forget the testerones and bring on the toblerones.

Last stanza said it all for me.
Like you where is the problem.

Great poem and one i will print out to show all my female friends.

xx Alice

Hysterical, Joanie -- particularly the "Auntie, who perpetrates violent crime"!

Fantastic Joanie, you've really hit the nail on the head here. Sorry I've only just found it, looks like everyone else beat me to it.

Wickid Joanie! - like the sing-a-song rhythm... (could it mask someone who is troubled by hormones...! ;-) ) Last line - great! Great Fun! Miffle ;-)

Bit late now, but I really do like the poem, even if I am a bit young to relate to most of it. But, it's great, bravo.

joanie, that's great! I love the chocolate references, the women in me office at work are always nipping off to the chocolate machine in the cyber cafe and they kick off big time when there's no chocolate in there! There was one in particular that I had a pet name for, 'The Hormonal Dictator', because the atmosphere in the office was determined by her 'moods' and whether she got her cocoa fix or not! I hope the last line isn't a reference to men! Haha!

Nice one joanie!

Thanks

Don

Glad you liked it, Don. It certainly IS a reference to men! ...but only joking.
