Growing in my eye
tearing at my heart
watching as this world
slowly rips apart
I never saw it before
or I refused to accept it
but now I’ve been reminded
I just can’t live without it
Screeching through my thoughts
whirling through my mind
thinking how beautiful it is
to know you, one of a kind
Not focussing on thinking
difficult to concentrate
paying no attention
staring into space
All my notions and beliefs
are each now questioned
confusing me all over again
feeling they could be illusion
So I’ll say goodnight
and wave away normality
consider perplexing decisions
and try to keep my sanity
I know this will be hard
though I know not what to do
my mind’s an utter muddle
now that I love you
tearing at my heart
watching as this world
slowly rips apart
I never saw it before
or I refused to accept it
but now I’ve been reminded
I just can’t live without it
Screeching through my thoughts
whirling through my mind
thinking how beautiful it is
to know you, one of a kind
Not focussing on thinking
difficult to concentrate
paying no attention
staring into space
All my notions and beliefs
are each now questioned
confusing me all over again
feeling they could be illusion
So I’ll say goodnight
and wave away normality
consider perplexing decisions
and try to keep my sanity
I know this will be hard
though I know not what to do
my mind’s an utter muddle
now that I love you
