House has gone quiet
something amiss
checking all rooms
silence,not bliss.

Into my studio
i did go
there on the floor
face all aglow.

Easel erect
canvas still clean
floor and walls
were not to be seen.

Tubes all open
colours array
closing my eyes
would it all go away.

"Painting like you nannan"
my grandson said.
An artist in the making?
I shudder to dread.

If this is the work
of someone aged one,
will he reach two?
yes. Artist has won.

Oh dear! His work was obviously promising!! Glad he's forgiven. I can picture the scene!

Glad you enjoyed.
I have given them thier own art easels and this one like my paints better.
Hoping they take up writing as well.

Aww this is lovely! Very endearing. I can picture the scene and dread to imagine the mess!

Thats sweet! I can imagine maybe that will have been the first taste that makes him become and artist.

Wonderful! My daughter did this once, with an entire lipstick (my wifes', not mine!) all over the walls of the bedroom of a cottage we were renting. We had thought she was having an afternoon sleep. She was definitely not an artist!

Fortunately, by chance, the walls had been painted, not wallpapered.

Good one

Great fun! 2 Artists at Work! And no, 'silence' is not 'bliss' when little people are around! I think he will have been forgiven! Nikki :-)
