I found your photograph today;
you smiled at me across the years.
I try to form the words I want to say
but everything is swallowed up in tears.

This is what i do often. Clear a cupboard and cry over the photo's in there.
Never get anything done.
One photo
one dream of the past
one longing of what could have been.
Well done.

You have captured this moment perfectly, Joanie. So few words to say so much. In the best sense/ spirit of a haiku I think, if you see what I mean. Lovely.
