The Christening Morning

the birthday
the deathday
the livingday,

today
mothers
nature
gave
him,

birth
and death
and living,

now
flesh
carries
tradition,

happily
fulfilling
family
planning,

a little
living
history,

a little
dying
future,

his
childish
smile
chooses,

all eyes
are blessed,

we applaud,
complement
the service
and carry on,

drinking until
unconscious
morning
chooses us
to live.

John how true this is,
Born
live
die.

Sums our lives up in one

What we do
between is the challenge

Well done
