Ooh, I like this, it actually sounds kind of chewy in the mouth. I can imagine the bits of Alpen escaping as you speak. Could we have a kind of challenge for two word poems?

Good idea, Elsie! Two word poems challenge, definitely.

Put a smile on my face, as did "mostly toast" - thank you both.

I rarely eat breakfast, and when I do I don't think it's particularly poetic. ;o)

How did I end up with three of those?

My fingers are making many errors today.

Inevitable

No, not really - but Fruit 'n Fibre's too long. There must be a Marmite one out there somewhere?

John, I did laugh aloud - when I found it. A gem. Incidentally, apropos of nothing,
john g was my brother's name for 'strong tea' when he was little!

Banana
americana (Hair of the dog?)

Americana recipe (Google result)

1/4 oz Tennessee Whiskey
1/2 tsp Sugar
1 dash Bitters
Chilled Champagne
1 slice Peach

Stir the whiskey, the bitters and the sugar in a collins glass until the sugar is dissolved. Fill up with champagne and garnish with a slice of peach.

I think this would work well with banana instead.

Afraid I have to rise too early for breakfast, so for me it's
