Soft lips of comfort
lace my skin with hope,
a reminder of feelings
long ago dead.
Can I dare to believe
I'm enough,
or will the burning pain
of yesterday triumph once more?

Head and heart wage battle
with territorial venom
while the eyes of cynicism
look on.

Hi Bobo,

A very passionate poem that made me think of the emotion in a kind of animalistic
way.

I read it and it seemed to fly by, the pace very fast, almost as if it's supposed to be read
as if spit out into the world.

A statement of unsure feelings but a poem that made me re-read it several times to savour
in its splendor.

Bobo

I like the phrasiology

Soft lips of comfort
lace my skin with hope,

it gives images of passion, gentleness and yet that degree of both hope and hoplessness,
well crafted

take care

Bobo, the battle between heart and head is violent and raging, isn't it? I know what you mean.

Well written.
