The soil begins to warm
As frost fades to memory.
New shoots spear the Earth's surface
As green leaves intimate fresh life.
Buds burst forth topical flowers,
As crops prosper nurturingly
Caressed by April's showers.
Woods cultivate canopies
As growth laden branches of nature.
Song birds chorus the excitment of spring,
As sleep dirtied hibernation eyes clear.
Daylight hours lengthen as windows open.
Unnecessary coats hang discarded
As spiders spin wellington boot webs.
Magnitudes of marine species mingle
As apair of lobster mate for life.
Lactating ewes bleet motherly
As tottery curled white lambs
Gather huddled on hilltops,
Beneath which a multiple of rabbits multiply
As a child screams life in a sterile hospital.

Wow, Pene, this totally awakened my senses. So visual and captivating. I especially like 'caressed by April's showers'; and the final line seems clinical, yet completely beautiful at the same time.
Well done,
Best wishes,
Stacey.

once again you demonstrate this ability to describe so vividly so much in so few words

It also shows an amazing ability to observe what is going on around you and visulise that in words
